The Problem

2,870 homeless individuals in St. Louis
The average age of a homeless person in America
60 days
average length of stay in a homeless shelter
180 days
average days needed to stabilize after homelessness
average cost to serve street-homeless: 1 person, 1 year

The Solution

If a homeless family does not stabilize in 90 days the risk of chronic homelessness triples.  We curb the region’s cost by intervening with a family prior to shelter stays and immediately upon release from homeless and domestic violence shelters to prevent chronic returns to homelessness. Humantri’s Transformational Housing Program is part of the St. Louis Continuum of Care to end homelessness.  We partner with 60+ agencies serving homeless populations through street outreach, emergency shelter services and permanent housing solutions.
