Our team of 9 includes a clinical counselor, family support specialist, jail chaplain, two case managers and 20 volunteers caring for 90 families and 3,000+ inmates in St. Louis each year.
Cyra Lohman, Executive Director, has served social justice organizations since 2002. Cyra has secured and managed allocations of $20+ million in federal and foundation grant awards and corporate and private gifts. Honored with the Moving the Mountain Award in East St. Louis, Illinois, Lohman grew the inner city’s core urban youth center eight times financially, three times programmatically. Cyra holds a B.S. in Public Health and is certified in high school English education.
Amy Kaufman began her journey with the agency in 1999 as a client. In 2001, Amy became a Case Manager in the homeless program. Her drive and intellect have since elevated Amy from Director of Development to Director of Operations and Programs. Amy is most proud to work for Humanitri, an agency that changed her life, and for the privilege of assisting others in changing theirs.
Rachel Jackson, Professional Counselor, founded a homeless service organization in 2005, at the age of 25. Since inception Project Compassion, NFP has assisted 70,000+ individuals. Rachel has received national attention for her work, including Secret Deodorant’s Strong Enough for a Woman Award and L’Oreal Paris’ Woman of Worth recognition. Rachel holds a B.S in Business Administration and M.A in Professional Counseling and is a Certified Master Trainer in Life Skills, Self- Esteem, and Workforce Development.
Loretta Walters has worked in ex-offender re-entry for . She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Louis University and is a certified mediator through Saint Louis University School of Law. People are her passion. Providing service to people with God’s guidance is what sustains and motivates her.
